An Eagle's Vengeance

Six years after the campaign against terrorism began, the world is a safer place but the stock market is collapsing after the brief resurgence in 2002. The United States is suffering from a severe economic downturn, which has spread across the globe. As a result, world leaders have formulated a peace agreement that will allow them to focus on their respective national problems. Kay Cross, a junior reporter for the San Diego Union, gets the chance of a lifetime to interview the President before the Agreement and attend the signing. Lieutenant Commander Greg Morris, believes he is leading his elite covert military team on an operation to take out one of the last terrorist financiers. As leaders meet to sign the agreement, Captain John Davenport is recruited by a secret organization to set in motion an operation that will create chaos around the globe. On the eve of the ceremonies, the news reports that remnants of depleted terrorist factions have organized for one final blow and have assassinated the U. S. President and Vice President. Greg and Kay are suddenly thrust into a race against time to prevent the nation from going to war with the Middle East while across the country friends and enemies hunt them down.
