The clocks ticked, fingernails clicked, dry lips were licked in the big white house with the green front door. A dark masterpiece set in 1930's Leamington Spa. The Leighton siblings live in the ether, consumed by their past and taking terrified steps into an unkind and unknown future. The air is heavy with melancholy and menace. Time ticks on. Mother's voice is distracting and ever-present from the grave, the house itself is alive. We live with the dead and feel them. Unresolved stories stay bubbling away until they are ready to reach their conclusion. 'Creeping and swarming and spinning and suuuucking. Boldly squirming hips-a-swirling.' Can they sustain what little sanity they have left, or are they on the brink of catastrophe?
